On 5th and 6th May 2022, the Castelfranco Veneto Pilot Team organised a two-day workshops with the active support of associations, organisations and volunteers of the municipality of Castelfranco Veneto and its surrounding, in the framework of the event “Spring in Villa: between wellness and health 2022”.

The initiative was launched on 3 May 2022 during a press conference led by the Mayor of Castelfranco Veneto and the University of Padova.

Three different focus groups were organised in order to evaluate with and communicate to local stakeholders the impacts expected by the Visionary Solutions developed in the framework of VARCITIES and deployed in the historic garden of Villa Revedin Bolasco located in the heart of Castelfranco Veneto.

About 25 organisations and associations participated in different group discussions by using the SROI – Social Return On Investment method, a predictive analysis over the social impact that can be generated by specific interventions. The objective of the analysis is to estimate and calculate the social and economic changes generated by the interventions targeted to the citizenship and the local administration.

The 3 working groups gathered:

• associations of Castelfranco Veneto representing several sectors (including social, environmental, cultural, etc..);
• associations representing people with disabilities, Alzheimer’s and, in general, fragile persons;
• caregiver organisations and associations.

Moreover, May and June 2022 were dedicated to analysis and monitoring activities of psychological and physiological well-being for elderly people carried out in the historic garden of Villa Bolasco. The aim is to evaluate the therapeutic effect of the nature-based landscape of the garden.
