Field visit in Chania pilot

As part of WP4, Prospex Institute performs field visits to VARCITIES’ pilots to observe progress made on the design and implementation of the visionary solutions, assess the impact of co-creation activities involving local stakeholders and evaluate the future co-creation needs and potential challenges.

On Thursday 13th Octobrer, 2022, our project partner Prospex Institute traveled to Chania for a field visit of the municipality’s pilot supported by VARCITIES. They were welcome by Chania’s pilot team who led their visit through the site and introduced the different planned nature-based solutions. Specifically, the representatives from the Prospex Institute with members of Chania team visited locations in the city where the Mobile Urban Living Room which is developped as part of the project will be at and host events and activities. During the visit the two partners also discussed about several issues regarding the Varcities project, such as:

• The stakeholders’ feedback given in the earliest stages of co-identification and co-design
• The design of the Mobile Urban Living Room
• The forthcoming Chania Town Hall event on November 7th, which will kick-start the co-implementation phase of the Chania’s pilot

It is always good for VARCITIES’ partners to meet face to face and get to discover the different pilot sites.
